For the all-new AK SOLARIS X, Campfire Audio collaborated with Astell&Kern to employ the best possible audio technology. At the core of the AK SOLARIS X is a hybrid system consisting of a Balanced Armature driver and an optimized dynamic driver that stays true to Astell&Kern's deep and rich sound.

The custom Balanced Armature driver developed exclusively for the AK SOLARIS X is smaller in size when compared to the BA drivers used in the previous models. Even with the smaller size, the custom BA driver offers smooth and extended highs and a wideband performance. There is another BA driver that delivers rich mids and a custom 10mm dynamic driver takes care of the mid-to-low frequency. With a 3 Driver setup, the AK SOLARIS X covers a frequency range from 5Hz to 20kHz and produces the best possible neutral and accurate sound.

To ensure that the highs are well extended and do not sound too sharp or cause fatigue, the AK SOLARIS X employs a Tuned Acoustic Expansion Chamber (T.A.E.C.) Technology. The volume of space available in the front of the driver is carefully adjusted for optimum driver performance. This highly advanced system creates a direct passage between the drivers and your ears for unparalleled audio clarity.

The sonic performance of the dynamic drivers is taken care of by the polarity tuned chamber. The use of particular volume cavities in the front and the back of the dynamic drivers bring out the best performance. The 3D printed acoustic tuning focuses particularly on driver performance which is crucial particularly in a hybrid driver setup.

Equipped with 2.5mm balanced pure silver Litz cables, the AK SOLARIS X realises its highest sonic potential. Made of four 4N (99.99% purity) conductors, these Litz cables deliver clearer and extended sounds. There is a dedicated jacket that wraps around each conductor for flexibility and durability while also ensuring softness to the touch. The beryllium/copper MMCX connectors of the AK SOLARIS X are highly durable and can easily withstand daily wear and tear.

The acoustically optimised interior model featured in the AK SOLARIS X empowers each driver to deliver top-notch sonic performance. It's only because of this 3D printed interior that the drivers deliver coherently and a seamless musical experience.

Handcrafted out of eco-friendly products, the cork case of the AK SOLARIS X is highly durable and lasts long. The owner of the company started off intending to create a friendly workplace for people with disabilities. He has employed people who are physically disabled in a small boutique shop that he founded in Portugal.
