Premium DDC Engineered With Award Winning Technology
The DENAFRIPS HERMES is a premium Digital To Digital Converter (DDC). It took about 3 years to perfect the development and it leverages the technologies found in DENAFRIPS award-winning DAC, namely, Proprietary FPGA DSP Processing, FIFO Buffer & Reclocking. Along with Industry Leading USB Audio Interface Solution via STM32F466 Advanced AMR based MCU. Essentially, the HERMES is trickled down from the Gaia DDC.
Pristine Sound With Ultra Low Noise Floor
The DENAFRIPS HERMES packs more than 8 sets of Ultra Low Noise, Precision Linear Power Regulars along with an oversized O-Core Transformer. This design choice delivers clean power to the digital circuitry effortlessly, resulting in clean sound.
Expanded Connectivity - USB + SPDIF
The DENAFRIPS HERMES is not limited to just processing USB signals. The HERMES accepts USB and SPDIF (Coax, TOSLink, AES/EBU) inputs. These digital signal data-streams will be FIFO buffered and reclocked via the Precision Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator OCXO. This process eliminates the jitter to a negligible level, ensuring the digital output signal is free from the harmful jitter noise. The use of OCXO plays an important role here.
