Final A8000 are the company’s flagship-grade IEM’s and they have fused these with the most cutting edge technology and materials. To achieve transparent sound for the A8000, Final has applied its own proprietary Perceptual Transparency Measurement (PTM) evaluation methodology, resulting in improved efficiency of the components within the IEM. Considering the results of the evaluation an ultra-thin Beryllium foil (Truly Pure Beryllium Diaphragm) is embedded. With a specific gravity of 1.85 and a sound propagation velocity of 12,900 m/s, second only to that of diamond, Beryllium has ideal characteristics for a diaphragm material. The clarity of sound produced is extremely high and offers unparalleled clarity to your music.

The A8000, from Final, is engineered to reproduce transparent audio and works well with every musical genre. Sound design for these models has been undertaken with attention to the relationship between spatial impression and dynamic range of music, and the physical characteristics of earphones. The superior time response of the A8000 imparts it with sound quality that is capable of providing accurate audio. From the clarity of pop and rock music with a narrow dynamic range to the spatial impression of classical and jazz music with a wide dynamic range. This sets the A8000 apart for offering universal accuracy.

The body for the earpiece is made out of precisely cut stainless steel with a mirror finish to support the driver unit and suppress any unnecessary vibrations. For the A8000, to optimise the driver performance, the inside of the driver unit chassis is divided into four chambers (Tetra-Chamber Construction), the driver ante-chamber and the double construction driver post-chamber and the MMCX connector portion are separated into different areas. Additionally, the use of four chambers achieves a balance between volume and clarity while preventing sound leakage.

The design for the chassis of the Final A8000 has been completely reimagined and re-engineered to offer utmost comfort. Unlike most IEMs on the market, which is designed with an ergonomic shape that rests heavily on the ear and silicone ear tips to keep them in place, the A8000 limits the area that comes in contact with the ear, aiming to achieve a sense of fit with no feeling of oppression. In simpler words, the featured chassis is designed to limit the amount of contact between the housing and the ear. This makes it comfortable and ensures a stable fit for a variety of people.

Final A8000 comes with high-purity OFC silver coated cables that provide a wide soundstage. These cables are developed in partnership with Junkosha corporation to be used with the supercomputer “Kei” for their fast signal transmission. The insulator film is made from PFA which was also developed by Junkosha corporation, who used their extensive knowledge to create the ultimate in low-permittivity material. The outer tube is made from PVC for maximum flexibility. You will experience surprising flexibility that both makes the cable extremely easy to use as well as reducing the likelihood of microphonics. In addition, the MMCX plug and the 3.5 mm mini-plug have far exceeded the regular QA pass criteria of a 5,000-time bend test by changing the connection design to one that can withstand more than 50,000 bends, making it truly durable. This durable cable and connector make connecting to a source device easy and seamless.

The A8000 comes bundled with premium quality ear hooks and an MMCX asset tool that are bundled for everyone. The ear hooks bundled with the A8000 are slimmer in dimensions and don’t use any metal or resin wire, this makes the ear hooks comfortable to wear. These ear hooks also feature an affixed lock (B Type) that is capable of holding the cable firmly in place, allowing the user to wear the earphones for extended periods and enjoy their music. There is also an MMCX assist tool included to help remove and insert cables without damaging them. It also prevents the contingency of the cable from becoming severed by mistakenly pulling on the cable portion of the MMCX connector plug.

The ear tips for the Final A8000 have been designed from soft silicone for superior comfort and noise isolation. These come in 5 sizes and the right and left earbuds have different coloured markings for easy recognisability and the different sizes also ensure that the sound is transmitted directly to the eardrum. These earphones also come bundled with an aluminium hybrid silicone carry case and dust filter. For the A8000, we have shaped the dust filter in such a manner that it can be removed and replaced by the customer, and a replacement dust filter is included as an accessory. Cut aluminium is used in the case for portions to which force is applied. The interior is a soft silicone dome to prevent scratching. The earphones themselves are gently secured using thin dome-shaped silicon covers making them perfect to carry along with you.

The Final A8000 comes embedded with driver units with a diaphragm attached to a voice coil and adhesive agent. With audio signals flowing, the diaphragm moves in minute increments along with the voice coil allowing the sound to be produced. Over time, the diaphragm moves efficiently and the sound changes or ‘ages’. The A8000 has a small aperture, and so an extended period is necessary for changes through ageing to become noticeable. When used for over 150-200 hours, it should feel as though the sound has become stable. Favourable outcomes can be obtained through the ageing of the product, by listening to the music you normally listen to at a volume you usually listen to.
